ART LEAGUE SETS SIGHTS ABROAD FOR

INTERNATIONAL & DOMESTIC MUSEUM DESTINATION RAFFLE

Beginning next month volunteers will set off to sell raffle tickets featuring 7 incredible international and domestic museum destination trips in conjunction with The Off the Wall Ball benefiting Art League Houston.

The official Kick Off for the 2006 Raffle will take place on October 3 in which trip details to Paris, London, Miami, New York, Chicago, San Francisco and Santa Fe will be announced.  All trips include roundtrip airfare for two and accommodations at some of the most luxurious resorts around the world.

In Paris, guests will relax for 4 days and three nights at the Hotel Price de Galles-Paris Champs Elysees.  This 1928 legendary hotel referred to as “a palace in the heart of Paris,” is located in the heart of the city on Avenue George V just steps away from the important business district areas, elegant boutiques and famous landmarks like the Arc de Triomphe, Avenue Champs Elysees and the Eiffel Tower.  While taking in all the mystery and romance the city has to offer, guests will additionally be treated to a candlelit dinner featuring classic French cuisine and live music aboard a riverboat cruising the Seine River.  This dinner tour includes transportation from and to the hotel as well as a private table at the head of the boat with the best views and fine wine and champagne offerings.  The next morning guests will be greeted at the hotel by our driver-guide for a guided tour in the steps of Robert Langdon, the principal character of Dan Brown’s bestseller, The Da Vinci Code.  During the tour, revisit part of Langdon’s adventures from Vendome Square and the Ritz Hotel to the Louvre ending with a tour at Saint Sulpice Church.

Art League will sell a very limited amount of tickets for the 2006 Raffle at  $25 each.  Those interested in selling tickets will additionally compete for weekly incentive prizes during the month long campaign including fabulous weekend getaways and more.  Those interested in selling or purchasing tickets should call the Art League at League at 713-523-9530.

This year’s raffle effort is part of the 2006 Off the Wall Ball which will be held on Saturday, November 18 at the Four Seasons Hotel honoring “Texas Artist of the Year,” Al Souza and “Texas Patron of the Year,” Clint Willour.  Tickets to the Ball begin at $150 per person with table of 10 at the $2,500 to $15,000 level.  Please contact Art League should you wish to reserve a place at the event.
