Studio Enertia a dynamic multimedia exhibition by Studio Enertia: a collaborative project by Houston performer and composer Lisa E. Harris, and Pittsburg-based artist Alisha B. Wormsley The opening reception is Friday February 28 from 6 - 9 PM with an artist talk at 6:30 PM. A live performance will take place on Friday March 14 with a film screening of HASHTAG IT DOESN'T MATTER on Tuesday, April 1 at 7 PM.
The Function of Attention a three person exhibition curated by Emily Peacock featuring work by three emerging Texas-based artists: Matt McEver, Shawn Mayer and Daniela Galindo. In conjunction with the FotoFest 2014 Biennial, the exhibition features a selection of photographs that playfully explore the creative purpose of boredom as a form of attention The opening reception is Friday February 28 from 6 - 9 PM in the Art League Front Gallery. Artist and Curator talk at 7:00 PM.
Funnel Tunnel, a 180ft long temporary civic art sculpture by Houston-based artist Patrick Renner made of steel and reclaimed wood that snakes down the Montrose Blvd esplanade opposite ALH. Commissioned by ALH, the sculpture reflects the creative people and businesses in the Montrose area, and is the first of its kind in Houston! Come and celebrate with us. Yummy snacks provided by Whole Foods, refreshing beer from Saint Arnolds and SWEET dance tunes from local DJ's. The opening reception was on Saturday, August 10, 6 - 9 PM in the ALH Parking Lot.
