Textile techniques are traditionally worked with fibers such as linen, cotton and silk. However, they can also be applied to metal. Textile techniques offer the opportunity to work in new ways with the familiar forms of sheet and wire. With these techniques, one can explore pattern, texture, structure and scale. In this workshop students will have the opportunity to explore a variety of textile techniques and incorporate them into a piece of jewelry or small sculpture.
