This workshop will combine the mediums of acrylic painting and quilting to produce an artwork that straddles the line between textile art and canvas painting. We will create an acrylic painted subject matter that we will sew onto a handmade quilted backing. In this class, you will learn acrylic painting skills, hand sewing skills, and the process of constructing a quilt block to create a work that aligns with contemporary practices in mixed-media.
