Let’s explore flowers! In this workshop we will be painting a loose impressionistic floral. We will be using the alla prima technique, also known as "direct painting" or “wet-on-wet”. My goal is to teach and equip my students with the tools to break down a subject into big shapes then add just a few details to round out the painting to bring it to life. We will talk about design, value, drawing and color. I will demonstrate a painting to help give students a visual example before students choose a floral design provided to create their own. Painting supplies can be reserved for an additional fee directly from the instructor.
